Second Sunday of Lent

• Confessions - Saturday 11:15am - 12 noon or after 7pm Mass at request.
• Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour is NOT held during Lent.
• The Sanctuary Lamp will burn this week in memory of John Haslam. Please make your requests as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment.
• Early Mass is available daily at 7:15am during Lent.
• Stations of the Cross on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm with Mass. The Stations of the Cross will replace the Liturgy of the Word in the Mass.
• Ecumenical Lenten Talks - Smith Room 8.15pm each Friday in Lent. 12th March : 'The Loving Community' Ephesus: Fr Reynolds.
• Week of Guided Prayer - Opening Meeting 7 March in the Smith Room.
• Flower Arrangers - Wednesday 1.30pm in the Smith Room. Please bring spray for carnations and foliage.
• Unclaimed Raffle Prizes - Ticket numbers 531, 514, 782 and 894 are prize winners. If you have these numbers, please claim your prize today.
• Pilgrimage to Walsingham - Two places left!! Please contact Fr Reynolds or Pam Hughes.
• Memorial Book - With the death of Cecilia Witherington R.I.P. we have lost a wonderful calligrapher!! I would be grateful if we have any parishioners with this wonderful talent to take up the task of writing names in our Memorial Book. On average, we have ten entries per year.
• Organ Recital and Festival of Song - John Walton and Louise Dean - our Christmas Soloist. Sunday April 18th at 3.30pm.
• Songs of Praise - Ashton Churches together - are holding their annual Songs of Praise in our church on April 29 at 7.30pm.
• Hospital - If and when any relative is admitted to hospital, please ensure that his/her religion is registered and that the visit of a priest is required. We cannot always rely on the hospital staff to fulfil the obligation to meet the spiritual needs of the patient.
