Baptism of the Lord

  • Next Sunday is Peace Sunday - prayers for World Peace
  • Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour at 7:30pm on Wednesday.
  • The Sanctuary Lamp will burn this week in memory of Julia O'Gara and family. The next available date for the Sanctuary Lamp is February 15. To avoid disappointment, please place your request for Masses and Sanctuary Lamp as soon as possible.
  • RCIA talks will recommence this week on Tuesday
  • White Flower Appeal today at all Masses in aid of Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC). Please read your copy of 'Pro-Life Times.' SPUC is organising a mass lobby of Parliament on 27th and 28th April. Please ask Fr Reynolds for more details.
  • Ecumenical Service for the Week of Christian Unity at the Independent Methodists, Victoria Road, on the 19th January. Please make a note in your diary.
  • Church Cleaning - Recently, due to old age, sickness and change of circumstances we have lost a number of Church Cleaners. I appeal to you for some good people to give one hour either Tuesday or Friday after 9.30am.
  • Confessions - Saturday 11:15am - 12 noon or after 7pm Mass at request.
  • A copy of the Junior School Newsletter is on the notice board in the porch
  • Wigan Department of Social Services are seeking to recruit volunteer adult mentors to spend around two hours per week with young people aged 8 - 17 to offer them support, encouragement and guidance. Full training plus ongoing support is provided. If you are interested, please see the notice in the porch
  • Justice and Peace Annual Memorial Lecture - 'Peace and Reconciliation' Speaker : Steve Alston at the LACE Centre, Croxteth Drive, Sefton Park on Peace Sunday 18 January 2pm to 5pm. Refreshments served from 1.30pm.
  • Welcome The World Youth Cross - Sunday 25 January, 6-7pm at Christ the King Church, Queens Drive. The cross is on a continuous pilgrimage throughout the world and visits Liverpool for just one night.
