- Week of Guided Prayer - Sadly, not well attended, but those who
took part enjoyed the experience and we we all thank Sister Una and her team
from Loyola Hall.
- Parish Centre - Work has begun and soon we hope to have a date for
completion, then we can begin to plan social events to celebrate our
Centenary Year. The first phase will be to upgrade the exterior shell of the
building and refurbish and redecorate after fire damage, then we will have to
think about developing the centre to include some facilities for young
people. It is necessary to support the centre so I ask you to think about
changing your recreational habits and give us your custom. Bookings are now
being taken again for all family celebrations.
- Organ Recital and Festival of Song - John Walton and Louise Dean -
our Christmas Soloist. Sunday April 18th at 3.30pm.
- Songs of Praise - Ashton Churches together - are holding their
annual Songs of Praise in our church on April 29 at 7.30pm.
- Hospital - If and when any relative is admitted to hospital,
please ensure that his/her religion is registered and that the visit of a
priest is required. We cannot always rely on the hospital staff to fulfil
the obligation to meet the spiritual needs of the patient.
- Loyola Hall Programme of Retreats 2004 is on the board in the
porch. May I bring to your notice 'Retreats for People aged 18 - 35' :
Holy Week April 7 - 11. There are also Family Days, a reflective day for
parents and children 10.30am - 4.30pm. The next one is on April 18.
