- The Sanctuary Lamp will burn this week in memory of John Hulse.
- Flower Arranging - Wednesday 1.30pm : 9 inch arrangement.
- Family Fast Day : 1st October 2004 - Please plan ahead.
Offerings for Cafod and the Children of Bethlehem.
- McMillan Coffee Morning - Due to holidays, the usual event has
been postponed but will be held on the following Friday, 1 October. Full
details to follow.
- Parish Lottery: Winners were £150 - Roy and Carol; 99; £75 -
Mr and Mrs Schorah 69; £50 - John Cross;71; £35 - Mr and Mrs A Johnston;
25 ; £22.50 - Mrs Young;127. Once again we have five lucky people enjoying
their membership in our Parish Lottery. Why not join? Packets of envelopes
are at the back of church for your subscription. Next draw is Sunday,
26th September.
- Day of Recollection - for all parish members, especially
Eucharistic Ministers and Readers. Next Saturday 25 September. A few spaces
are available. Come and spend a day among the fields of Lancashire in peace
and quiet.
- Autumn / Centenary Fayre Saturday 6 November 2004. Please make a
note of this date and event in your diary. There is a list at the back of
church (near the newspapers) where you can sign up to help. PLEASE don't be
backward at coming forward - all ages welcome ! A meeting will be arranged
in the Parish Centre at a later date to discuss details.
- Around the Church - Beware - Take Care A delay in the process of
laying the tarmac on the pathway and car park has caused some difficulties
and I ask you to take care when leaving Mass.
- Our Lady Immaculate Primary School Family Fun and BBQ Friday 24
September. Come and join the fun!
- Spirituality Talks at St John Rigby College : 7.30pm - 9.00pm on
Thursday 30 September, Thursday 7 October and Wednesday 13 October. Places
are free.
- New Catholic Pictorial September edition available £1 per copy.
- Nugent Care Annual Mass Liverpool Cathedral, Sunday 10 October at
3.00pm. Principal Celebrant : Archbishop Patrick Kelly.
- "What if?" Weekend away for young adults 15+ at Brettagh Holt
Youth Centre, Kendal, Cumbria. Cost: £30. More details on the Notice Board.
- World Youth Day. Cologne 2005. 10 - 22 August 2005. An
unforgettable experience, over 1 million young people from 160 nations take
part in this unique pilgrimage led by the Holy Father. Cost:£475. Sponsorship

- Lourdes Youth Pilgrimage 2005 Friday 29 July - Saturday 6 August.

- When making your will, please remember Our Lady's Restoration Fund.
- When any relative is admitted to hospital, please ensure that his/her
religion is registered and that the visit of a priest is required. We
cannot always rely on the hospital staff to fulfil the obligation to meet
the spiritual needs of the patient.
