First Sunday of Lent
- Next Friday - Cafod Family Fast Day.
- Confessions - Saturday
11:15am - 12 noon or after 7pm Mass at request.
- Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual
Succour is NOT held during Lent.
- The Sanctuary Lamp will burn this week in memory of William and
Margaret Neafcy. Please make your requests as soon as possible to avoid
dissapointment.
- Early Mass is available daily at 7:15am during Lent.
- Stations of the Cross on
Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm with Mass. The
Stations of the Cross will replace the Liturgy of the Word in the Mass.
- RCIA Tuesday at 8pm.
- Ecumenical Lenten Talks - Smith Room 8.15pm each Friday in Lent.
5th March : 'The Living Community' Sardis and Laodicia Rev David Abbott (H.T.).
- Week of Guided Prayer - Opening Meeting 7 March in the Smith
Room. Please return your slip by Sunday 29 February.
- "Walk with Me" - A Lenten Journey of Prayer - This booklet is
available FREE: one per family.
- Tea Dance - Tuesday 2 March at the Independent Methodists, Victoria Road.
- Unclaimed Raffle Prizes - Ticket numbers 531, 514, 782 and 894 are
prize winners. If you have these numbers, please claim your prize today.
- Parish Centre - Good News!! Out of the blue, I am informed that
contractors will be on-site on Monday 8 March to begin repair and
refurbishment to the centre. Let us keep this venture in our prayers that
all goes according to plan and we will be able to celebrate once again.

items the secular press do not cover.
- CONGRATULATIONS - to Chris and Janet Brien who celebrated their
Golden Wedding Anniversary last Friday!!
- Grand Musical Feast - Friday 5 March at 7.30pm at St Jude's
featuring Parkside Male Voice Choir, St Helens Concert Band, Soloist: Anne
O'Hara. In aid of the Mayor's Charity Appeal which is to provide a Rapid
Response Vehicle for the Borough
- Hospital - If and when any relative is admitted to hospital,
please ensure that his/her religion is registered and that the visit of a
priest is required. We cannot always rely on the hospital staff to fulfil
the obligation to meet the spiritual needs of the patient.
